The words we won't say (Mana Wynwood)

Borrowing its title from a piece by Argote, the exhibition focuses on the role of public monuments and the emergence of a new model of society in Colombia following the 2016 Peace Agreement that put an end to more than 60 years of civil war in the country. The debate around public monuments and their role in shaping up collective memory has been the subject of intense arguments since the riots of Charlottesville last August and is particularly relevant to Colombia at this time. The Words We Won’t Say presents a selection of works by four prominent contemporary artists from Colombia: Iván Argote, Milena Bonilla, Carlos Motta and Oscar Muñoz.
